If you wish to volunteer in any capacity at St. Jude Parish/School, you must have the first 3 clearances (PA State, PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprints/Disclosure Statement) on file before you can perform any duties at St. Jude Parish/School. You will have 90 days to complete the last 2 clearances (Virtus Class & Mandated Reporter).
- PA State and PA Child Abuse clearances, including FBI, must be renewed every five years (60 months).
- Volunteers who have been a resident of Pennsylvania for less than 10 years must renew their FBI Fingerprint clearance until they reach 10 years of residency in Pennsylvania. Once the volunteer meets the 10 year residency requirement, they must complete a Disclosure Statement Application (available in the Documents below) for Volunteers which must be submitted every five years.

- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Federal Criminal Background Check)

- Cert. of attendance at a Safe Environment Training Session www.virtusonline.org/virtus
- Signed copy of “Standards of Ministerial Behavior” (from the Virtus class attendance)
- Signed Cert. for Technology Addendum (offered at the Virtus class starting in 2011)
- Cert. of completion of Mandated Reporter Training https://learning.childyouthprotection.org/online_training_list.php
- Disclosure Statement for Volunteers (available in the Documents below)
You will NOT be permitted to volunteer until you have all the necessary paperwork completed.
