On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, Bishop Michael Fitzgerald confirmed 83 students of St. Jude parish. Bishop Fitzgerald reminded them that in the Sacrament of Confirmation, they were receiving a completion of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that they received at Baptism.
Bishop Fitzerald was very impressed by how prepared our students were. He hoped that they would make use of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit - wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord - throughout their lives as they go out into the world to witness as members of the Body of Christ.
The purpose of the Sacrament of Confirmation is to be strengthened in the faith and to be anointed with the Holy Spirit.
At St. Jude, children are confirmed in beginning of 7th grade. Documents and schedules are below.
Adults interested in receiving Confirmation attend the RCIA program. Contact the rectory for more details.
Please see the Confirmation page for detailed information about this important sacrament.
