Dear St. Jude Families,
I hope you and your families are well. During these beautiful days, it is wonderful to see the signs of Our Lord each day in the flowers and plants that simply pop up out of the ground.
In this new Year of St. Joseph I hope you will avail yourself to the many ways you can learn more about him. Look on this website for future Consecration to St. Joseph studies. They are 33 days that you spend time prayerfully reflecting on the life of St. Joseph. We are using Fr. Donald Calloway's book "Consecration to St. Joseph. Contact me if you would like to purchase a book.
Walking with Purpose is another terrific way to get to know Our Lord and scripture. These a amazing bible studies geared for women. Check the bulletin on below on this website for more information.
And. of course. there's our patron saint, St. Jude Thaddeus, the saint of hopeless causes:
Most holy apostle, Saint Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of difficult and desperate cases. Pray for me as I present my needs; make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly (here make your request) May I bless God with you and all the elect throughout all eternity. I promise you, O blessed JUDE, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron and do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen
I hope you will avail yourself to one of the many insightful programs that are ongoing in the parish. Reading and meditating on Our Lord’s word is such an inspiration and a source of comfort and peace. Please contact me if need be.
Peace and blessings to you and your loved ones.
