Welcome to the Library Home Page! Below is a link to Destiny, our new online library catalog. Please check out all the features and information you can access through Destiny! Our hope is that St. Jude School students and parents will use Destiny and Destiny Quest to search for and gather information about the many books available at our library. If you have any questions, please contact one of the librarians. https://stjudeschool.follettdestiny.com/common/welcome.jsp?context=saas19_3712075 |
The St. Jude School Librarians are Mrs. Dori Hankinson and Mrs. Jeanne Calhoun. The library is open on all school days from 8:15-3:30. Students are free to come to the library outside their regularly scheduled period, anytime before school or during the day with a library pass. We have an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books for our youngest to our oldest users. Our collection contains approximately 10,000 books. The online catalog is taught to our students beginning in fourth grade, and the students are encouraged to use it. At this time, it can be only be accessed in the school building. We are happy and eager to help the students or their parents with anything pertaining to the library. Library skills are taught sequentially by the librarian and are integrated into the curriculum through collaboration with the classroom teacher. We are very proud of our St. Jude research continuum, which begins with our kindergarten students, and builds through the grades. The end result is a well-developed eighth grade research paper, which will allow our students to be competitively prepared for the challenges of high school. Please check out our useful links page to find pathways to access other resources for both students and parents, including our online encyclopedia, Reading Olympics, Accelerated Reader, NoodleTools, and resources offered through the Bucks County Library.
