WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Many parishes have changed the name of their Religious Education Program from "CCD" to "PREP". It seems that many people do not know what CCD stands for. Back in the early part of the 20th century, the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine was formed to help our Catholic immigrants to stay close to the Faith. We will now use the acronym PREP, which stands for Parish Religious Education Program to designate what has been lovingly called CCD for so many years!

About St. Jude's PREP: Our parish community is dedicated to the religious formation of our children and youth. With the support of our Pastor, priests and dedicated catechists and parents, we feel we offer to our young the opportunities to grow in the love and knowledge of God and the Church. Mrs. Alice Patcella is our Director of Religious Education .
